The story behind the Greek Project
In 2018, we launched a fundraiser to support our very first official project as a team: The Big Picture Story Bible. What followed was beyond our expectations. Not only did we raise the full amount—we ended up with a surplus.
Because so many people had given generously to support Greek-speaking communities and believed in the importance of Christian resources in our language, we felt a deep responsibility to steward the extra funds wisely. After much research and consideration, two books stood out as the right next step: Goodbye to Goodbyes and The Friend Who Forgives. Both are beautifully written, Christ-centered stories that help children engage with biblical truth in meaningful ways.
The Friend Who Forgives tells the story of Peter’s denial—a story many Greeks may have heard, but few truly know in detail. It explores the depth of Peter’s relationship with Jesus in a way that is both touching and humorous, offering a beautiful reflection on true friendship and the forgiveness Jesus freely gives.
The decision was made, the translations soon completed—and by 2019, the Priscilla team had two more books published. It was then that we began to realize: maybe this is more than a project. Maybe this is our calling.
