The story behind the Greek Project

This was the very first project of our team—back when Priscilla was still just an informal ministry: a group of four friends meeting in Athens for Bible studies and praying for more Christian resources in Greek.
After years of translating various materials for ourselves and others, we decided it was time to translate a children’s Bible. The need for a gospel-centered, high-quality Bible for Greek children was simply too great to ignore.

The Big Picture Story Bible beautifully and succinctly tells the overarching story of God’s plan to save His people through His Chosen and Promised One—Jesus. In 2018, in partnership with the local Christian publisher Logos, Crossway granted us permission to produce a Greek edition.
So, we got to work! For many months, we met weekly, carefully translating and editing the text. But when the manuscript was ready, a new challenge arose: Logos didn’t have the funds to move forward with such a large project.

We decided to fundraise and hoped for the best. What happened next was beyond anything we could have imagined. Friends, family, and people from all around the world who loved the Bible rallied around us—donating enough money to fully fund the project (and then some!). Within a year, both the translation and funding were complete. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of others and amazed at how clearly God had answered our prayers.
In December 2018, like the most unexpected and wonderful Christmas gift, the Greek Big Picture Story Bible was finally in our hands.

Little did we know—this was just the beginning.
